Center of Intelligence of Triads
Among the many triads we see in the Enneagram, let’s take a look at the Center of Intelligence Triads - Head, Heart & Body - that correlate with how we interpret the world and how we interact with the world around us. Each Triad perceives, processes & expresses with a dominant Center of Intelligence, either feeling, thinking, or instinctual intelligence. Our dominant center of intelligence has advantages & disadvantages (or better put, uses and misuses) in the ways it helps us interpret and interact with the world around us. There is a tremendous skill set that will be evident for each of the Types as we go through the Triads, but if we are so focused on our Center of Intelligence that we miss the value in the other two centers, our approach will be imbalanced, and we will have tremendous blind spots because we are missing two-thirds of the whole pie. The invitation, as we learn more about the three Centers of intelligence, is to increase our self-awareness so that we can feel confident in what we bring to the table, but also have an awareness of our blind spots. Today, we are going to take a look at the Head Center, which includes Types 5, 6, & 7.

The Head Triad takes in information & perceives the world through thinking intelligence. This “thinking” intelligence involves being analytical, thoughtful, rational, imaginative, & having reason.
